Catch Up Numeracy, is based on the work of Oxford University psychologist Ann Dowker, and is widely used in England and Wales and has now been adapted for Scottish education. It homes in on the important core components of numeracy, which include counting, number comparison, tens and units, ordinal numbers, word problems, estimation, and both remembered and derived facts.
