Workshop R: The new examinations in Mathematics


John Topping, SQA, Qualifications Development Consultant, Curriculum for Excellence
John will update participants on the development of the Curriculum for Excellence Mathematics exams at National 4/National 5 and the relationship between Maths and Numeracy.

  1. Felt sorry for John- he clearly had information to share but the session was hijacked by incessant questioning from people who were determined to ask the same sort of questions over and over. This was frustrating for those who wanted to hear what John wanted to say, primarily because the annoying questions were about aspects of the new exams that are completely outwith John's remit and authority (decisions that have been made at government level or SQA management level)!
